First date tips from a published author
It would be remiss of us to breeze through yet another Valentines Day without sharing our Angel Aromatics secrets to everlasting love. Ok so we may not all be experts on the subject here at Angel but one of us recently got engaged (congrats Lana!) so I thought while I'm getting educated I would pass on some advice to anyone else who did not receive flowers from her Valentine this year.
If you haven't heard, our Lana wrote 'Meals Men Love - How to Catch a Man in 3 Courses' - a cookbook for the busy gal who knows that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. After spending hours upon hours preparing elaborate meals for little to no appreciation she realised that simple, delicious and filling recipes are the way to go.
The best part is that at the back of the book she shares some other little tips. Lana says it is as simple as working out how to appeal to the five senses.

At Angel Aromatics February means sunshine, fresh fragrances, brand new products and the Sydney Reed Gift Trade Fair.
With so many retailers heading to Sydney to see new products and take advantage of our trade fair specials we thought we would give you all you need to know to make it the best trade fair ever!
When is it? Saturday 25th - Wednesday 29th February, 2012
Where is it held? Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre, Sydney City

Why should I visit a trade fair?
To see, feel, touch, smell products. Yes it's easier and much cheaper to just pop onto our website and look at products but to really understand how they look and feel (and experience our many many fragrances) we always recommend you come to the fair. It will give you a much better idea of how to display products, what looks are in and to create colour schemes - plus we will get to meet you :)
The main trade fairs are this one (February Sydney) and then August in Melbourne. August is a much bigger fair in terms of exhibitors, but we find many people prefer Sydney as it's much less stressful to walk around and you can visit the fair more focused. All major exhibitors should be at the Sydney trade fair.
How do I visit a trade fair?
Reed Gift Trade Fair is a trade only event and admission is free for buyers. If you already have a Gift Industry Card you do not need to re-register - just bring it to the fair and scan it at the entry:

Where in Sydney is the fair?
The Reed Gift Trade Fair is located in Darling Harbour (Sydney CBD). A short walk to Centrepoint, The Rocks and lots of lovely places to explore.
What do I need to bring?
Business Cards, Credit Cards, ID, Purchase Order forms and any pictures of products or colour schemes you are trying to match. If you have a photo of your store it's also great to bring along to show wholesalers so we can better understand which products might suit you.
Water is normally provided at the fair and there are lots of restaurants nearby to visit. There is also normally many coffee carts in the centre (sometimes there is free coffee and tea provided at the trade fair too).
Carry bags are also normally provided by the organise Reed.
Do I get to order stock and take it off the stand?
Yes you can order stock but you can not take it off the stand. As this is a Trade Fair, exhibitors are wholesalers who purely take orders at the fair. For instance in our case, when you place an order at the trade fair we will process your order when we return from the fair and then make up the stock and send it fresh to your store.
How many days should I allow for the Sydney Reed Gift Fair?
This is one of the most common questions we get asked and it really varies depending upon your store. If you are a small business or company that is not searching for many new suppliers and just wants to come to the fair to look around, 1 - 2 days is probably enough. However if you are a new store or one that intends on talking to lots of exhibitors and visiting many stands then 2 - 3 days would be best. Please keep in mind the fair closes early (approx 3pm) on Wednesday the last day.
What should I wear?
Also a very popular question! One year it was over 30°C at the fair. We recommend wearing layers. The venue is airconditioned so can get quite cool but then outside can be very very hot. If you have layers which are easy to remove then you will be fine. Generally the trade fair visitor crowd is a mix of casual to smart casual. Jeans and a nice top with sandals/thongs even are ok. There is no need to get dressed up or wear a suit.
And one extra handy hint - Wear comfortable shoes to the Trade Fair!

I have to say that I just love all of our brand new fragrances but my very favourite has to be Lemon, Lime & Blossom. A romantic, full bodied mix of sweet lime blossoms and lightly twisted lemon to evoke fine memories of the first day of spring.

Cedar Balls. A fashion necessity - really.
I'm not the most forward thinking person in the world, but when it comes to Cedar Balls and my clothes that all changes.
One winter many moons ago, I unpacked a favourite jumper from my winter storage. A moment of complete devastation - thanks to some little winged friends that had been feasting on it all spring & summer. Ever since then I have religiously stored my winter clothes with cedar balls.
With summer here and winter clothes being put away, Cedar Balls are really a fashion necessity. Get. Some. Now.

How do I use cedar wood balls / How to get rid of moths:
Simply place a few cedar balls in a drawer or storage box to protect clothing. If refragrancing them (or using wet balls), ensure the fragrance doesn't come into direct contact with clothing (e.g place in an organza bag).

It's all about the Diffuser

Angel Aromatics long lasting Reed Diffusers have been handcrafted in Australia with a blend of decadent high quality fragrances and essential oils.
The thick rattan reeds, when placed in the enclosed glass vase, will naturally and continuously scent your home for up to 12 months.
Instructions: Remove stopper and place rattan reeds into the vase. The fragrance will be absorbed up the reeds.
For a stronger fragrance, turn the reeds regularly.

The Stockist Search would have to be one of my favourite features! So easy to use and it's as simple as entering your postcode and selecting a radius (e.g 5km, 10km) and up will pop a map with your closest store.
It's also much simpler to login and apply for wholesale access:
Then once you are logged in (or your new application is processed), you can see your account, place orders, download a new price list, update your details and soon be able to see a wishlist, support requests and so much more!
And once logged in, ordering couldn't be any simpler. Click a menu on the left to find the product you would like, then from that screen you can select which fragrance you would like (via the drop down menu) then click Add to Cart. The fragrances with a * around the name, means that fragrance is most popular on that product.
